I just found my new favorite Mexican Restaurant! I had the tacos and a tamale. This is what I have been missing since moving here from California.
Unassuming from the outside but cute on the inside, you get transported to an interior that reminds you of a Mexican hut/counter look, with streamers, pinatas in a corner. Very friendly staff greets you with a welcoming smile. I ordered the chorizo breakfast tacos, come in 3. I ordered carryout, was ready in 10 minutes. They gave chili and green sauce. The tacos were still warm when I got home. Super delicious and fresh ingredients!
Place is a gem. Everything made from scratch. Their 7 breakfast burritos may be the best kept secret at the Beach. Support places like this. It's the good stuff.
There are really only two places I go to for authentic Mexican food and this is one of them! If you haven't been here in over three months, then you must come in to see their expanded layout. It literally use to be a little "hole in the wall" but now, it's a full blown restaurant with 2 bars, what appears to be a dance floor and even a DJ booth! I would have taken a picture of the food but quite frankly, I inhaled them to quickly because they were that amazing lol
Nico’s provides some of the most authentic tacos in the Virginia Beach area. The servers are kind and are knowledgeable of the menu, and even let us sample one of the tacos after expressed interest in trying the tripe taco (which was delicious!). The food each time I’ve been has been full of flavor and I have yet to try something I don’t like. Will be back soon when I’m in town!
Unfortunately they didn't have alcohol, but this is the closest thing to authentic I've had in the area.
The tacos are phenomenal, and filling. I had the Nicos tacos, 1 beef, 1 chicken and 1 pastor, all three were moist, delicious and well portioned. Their regular burrito could feed 2-3 people, it's a monster and huge on portion and taste.
The tacos here were really good.I had the beria tacos the front of the place is also a store to get any snacks you need. They also have a bar where you can sit down and drink. If you so choose to staff, there is very friendly and the food is really good
